Segway scooter gives freedom to a Paso Robles resident with Cerebral Palsy

The following is an excerpt of an interview from a local news station.

Laughing and smiling comes easy to Levi Sullivan these days, but just a short time ago it wasn't that easy. It's tough for Levi to think about life before his Segway Scooter. Levi has Cerebral Palsy and can barely use the left side of his body, that makes walking for the past twenty years, a daily chore.

But not anymore.

With a helmet and a five minute learning curve, it's easy to get on one of these babies. This two wheeled scooter has given Levi hope and something his mom hasn't seen before.
"He feels good about himself. As a parent, that is what makes me feel good. He is just so happy. This is the happiest I have seen him in his life," said mom Marilyn Sullivan

And he also has something else: confidence. "I would ride circles around you, but I don't think that's proper for the news," boasted Levi. But with confidence comes some new challenges for his mom.

"We were coming down the Cuesta Grade and he says, 'hey Mom, look. A bike lane,' and I said, 'Don't even think about it." So she has decided to join in on the fun, and the future of her son, on a scooter she bought for herself. It's also the only way she can keep up with Levi now.
Levi and his mom were among the first customers to get the Segway Scooter on the Central Coast.
